Appalachian Family Assembly

You will have an opportunity to hear from a number of University representatives and listen to North Carolina's Band of Distinction. There will also be a multi-media presentation. Please use the SW Ramp Entrance of the Holmes Center to access Open House events.

Information Fair

The Information Fair is held on the arena floor of Holmes Convocation Center. Representatives from many areas of the University and all academic departments that have undergraduate majors will be present to answer questions and provide information.

Campus Tours

Campus tours are led by Appalachian Student Ambassadors. These abbreviated tours last approximately 30 minutes.

Departmental Open Houses

A number of academic departments have open house activities within their own departments. Faculty members will be available to answer questions, take you on a tour of the department, and provide academic information. You may learn about departmental open house activities at the Information Fair in the Holmes Center.

Residence Hall Open Houses

Several residence halls will have rooms available to view. The schedule of activities will be available at the Information Fair in the Holmes Center.

Mini Information Sessions

You may wish to attend a mini session and hear presentations from a variety of academic and extracurricular offices from around campus. Each session lasts approximately 20 minutes.

Football

Appalachian will host Presbyterian College for a 7:00 p.m. game at The Rock. Ticket quantities will be limited and information about obtaining tickets for the game will be posted on this site as it becomes available. [ athletics website ]
